Injurys
Crappy things happen, like breaking your foot 3 weeks before the 1/2 marathon you trained for. But never give up. There are always opportunities to exercise and keep on track. That is what I have done and am still doing. I consulted my Dr. and he gave me a list of what I can do so that is what I am doing. I am still keeping my word to myself by going to the gym and working out no less than 5 days a week. You have to build that accountability to yourself and no matter what, even broken bones, you stick to it. Of course you should always consult your doctor before you do.

Welcome to my blog 28 to 8
So what is up with the title? It refers to my clothing size. That I used to be a woman’s size 28-30 and lost a massive amount of weight to fit into a size 12. I know I am not a size 8 but there is no doubt in my mind that I will be, hence 28 to 8. I created this blog to let people know what worked for me and how it can work for you. I wanted to create a blog to educate others to what I have learned.
I currently have lost 170 pounds and have simply done it with changing my diet and exercising. Ok the word ‘simple’ is an understatement, I worked my butt off. I use ‘simple’ in terms that I did not count calories, have surgery or follow a strict diet. I will warn you that I am more of an in-your-face kind of person. I am not here to gently push you into the cushy, feathery land of losing weight. I am here to give it to you straight. Weight loss is not complicated but there are things you need to know. I want to give you what I learned over my three years of weight loss. So stick with me and you will learn how my way can work for you.
